im back aft a 16hr sleep.. hmm.. where shld i start? so many things happened during OT. i have to say sumthing though, it rained EVERYDAY.. everytime we pitched tents and start to settle down, it pours.. so heavily dat our tents couldn't hold d water out and it started flooding.. just like d first night at stong.. we had to sleep in cold freezing water.. brr. even during river rafting. rained like hell. everyone had to hold up d sides of d groundsheet to prevent it from flooding.. had NR like dat. bt i supposed it was d rain dat made the whole trip memorable. how lucky can u get? raining 4 days in a row.. bt everyone just sat d rain out.
climb up stong was nt too bad. since we were carrying d much lighter day packs. d climb was fun, seeing d caves, singing all way. Kea, our guide, was hilarious.. behaving like a child, making fun of ppl. i had my share too.. remember zhiqi? jumped like anything when Kea and I hid in d bushes and made tiger noises. d view frm summit was a little disappointing though. couldnt see much with all d trees there. but view frm base camp was superb. shld go check out d photos we took. d water there ah, rust-coloured. bt no choice, fill our bottles with dat. of course got put purification tabs lah. qt disgusting d water colour.
river rafting was qt an experience. muddy river water.. bt great rafting mates.. shiqi, joanne, me, hock, brandon. sang all d way. brandon tok loads of crap.. as usual. everyone got burnt, or rather those who din bring long-sleeve shirts and applied sunblock. jerome was d worst.. rapids were qt ok, nt those scary ones u see in australia.. bt enough 2 make u row hard to get out of d rocks. everything was provided so dat meant we could all slack while d poor guides set up tents, cooked milo and dinner for us.. we shld have more of such camps. =) taught jian peng how to sing the reason.. one thing he learnt frm dis OT haha. i benefited too. brought back a piece of wood dat looks like a sword. luckily dat went thru customs. hock got an orc blade. both of them are on display in odac rm.
hotel.. or shld i say hostel stay was fun.. i got d biggest rm with des, lian peng, edgar and CT. woot. finally got our first shower there.. so shuan. before shower went with kenny, brandon, hock and jerome to walk arnd d town.. wanted to eat kfc one, bt was closed. so we went dis hawker center to eat mee goreng. jerome was our translator, din even noe he could speak malay. super nice, 1 plus go eat supper.. apparently another grp went out too, and got scolded by mr seet coz they were still toking cock at 4am. siao. by then i was sound asleep!
had to say dis. OT was fun! sorry to those who din managed to go.. u missed out on such an interesting and WET trip. bt someone got to watch laws of attraction rite? happy happy liao..
