Went to Essential Brew last night for dinner with ver since i had long long week off this week haha. apparently their food is supposed to be infused with different types of tea flavours.. we had a dory crisp pasta, fruit salad and grilled tofu steak w/ mushroom. pasta sauce was a combination between the normal tomato sauce and cream sauce.. qt nice. and i expected a dory fillet but it came in chucks of breaded dory fish. plus the servings were generous. fruit salad was normal, tofu steak tasted too mushroomy...
now for dessert. we had a new york cheesecake, green tea creme brulee and rose pu'er tea. cheesecake was normal. creme brulee was nice but was it supposed to be chilled?? not sure but tasted like pudding.. rose pu'er was bitter like all chinese tea. qt a contrast to the food we just ate..
but the place was cosy and didn't have alot of customers so it was quiet and all.. free wireless which ver shamelessly used to watch youtube videos.. we stayed for qt a while, 3hours to be exact.. good place to hang out too. food was slightly pricey though, perhaps due to the interesting tea flavours. come here to chill and try things different from ur starbucks or coffee bean drinks...
