back from another camp... The Legendary Leaders Summit. Basically they gathered all the student leaders from various ccas as well as the student council.. i was looking out for schs like chinese high, RI etc.. oh wells.. there was st nicks, bukit view, clementi town, dunmern, dunearn, st gabs, ping yi, ngee ann etc.. 14 schs in total. met some of the campers at kranji mrt to take a coach in.. my goodness there was soo many st nicks girls la... completely dominated the entire cohort. so back to jbac for me and the end of civilisation for 4 days. the entire camp concept was pretty interesting. it was basically a workshop cum outdoor activity idea.. qt cool. meet the ppl from HATC which conducted the indoor portions. very nice ppl. so the students were all splitted up into 10 groups.. i took group 9 and 10 and boy are they enthusiastic! know all the cheers and such. didn't have to really make them cheer or anything lo haha. spent the 4 days with them listening in to their lectures, poking fun at them, laughing.. was very different from the previous camp. they didn't have a campfire night but a sort of fiesta for themselves.. then we had paper stuck to our backs and ppl could just come and write stuff on it.. whole hall was filled with ppl lined up and furiously writing haha. managed to write in some thoughts abt them and stuff. last day of camp was still packed full for them. but they had a photo compilation for them and a few cried.. more cried when it was time to leave.. took photos at the end and i have to say the girls in my group are horrible to abuse me and my group guys during photo taking..
felt that this camp really benefitted the students. the skills they were taught are more or less common sense to me but that's after having like wad 5years of seniority over them.. hope they really put those skills into use and not make stupid mistakes. all the best guys!
